Abdul Rehman

Linux systems and low-level software engineer with 10+ years of software development experience spanning Linux systems, C/C++, Rust, embedded systems, virtualization and networking. Experienced across the hardware/software boundary, including Linux kernel interfaces, PCI/VFIO, IOMMU/VT-d, UEFI, NVMe, interrupts, SMP, and Type-1 hypervisors.

Recent systems research includes custom Linux CPU scheduling using eBPF/SchedExt and Rust for serverless workloads. Previously developed a userspace poll-mode driver for Google’s gVNIC using C++, VFIO-PCI, and Linux kernel interfaces, and spent several years developing virtualization infrastructure for embedded Intel platforms.
